Currently I’m enduring a weeklong Finals Exam period.
It’s long, it’s tiring, and most of all, for me, it’s crucial.
Some of my subjects are hanging on the line depending on my Finals exams, so at least I have to be extra careful. Or else it’s back to the “problems-associated-with-iregular-students” situation again.
*ticks off fingers* at least 3 subjects. One of them, I think I did pretty well to pull my grades up. The next two, I just have to pull harder.
I’m also enjoying reading some manga, most notably “Ouran Koukou Host Club”. Dunno about the title relation to the manga, but the latter seems to be the correct one. “Koukou” means “Senior High School”. But for the aesthetics of the ear, probably they hit on “Ouran High School Host Club” when they got on licensed by Viz. I checked the anime for an n-th time again, and heard “koukou” several times, confirming it’s the one.
I currently have Volume 1 to 7, but I’m finding anybody who has 8-10.
It is MUCH hilarious than the anime itself, but I’m glad they didn’t stray from the manga when they anime-ished it. I have one favorite part on the manga, a special “episode” entitled “Mori’s Secret”.
And at the end of the volume, the author, Hatori Bisco, includes some of his extras, notably “Romantic Egoist”, a side dish, and “Egoistic Cluv”, which includes some fan interaction. XD
I really loved it. Probably when Viz releases this one on ComicAlley / ComicQuest / HobbyPoint, I’ll shell out the cash, no questions asked. Probably then I’ll sacrifice some cash I set aside for J-Pop goodies and some other trivial necessities.
But the anime was equally as good, but as I said earlier, I have to give the hilarity factor to the manga.
SECRET DIVULGED: Since I bought “Host Club”, I watch it every Saturday and Sunday evening to kick off my “anime marathon at night” thing. It just stimulates my drive to watch all night long. XD Since I started to have it bit by bit last September, I think it is now 4 weeks running. The habit of “anime marathon at night” thing I started more than a year ago, which still drive my parents nuts on why I stay up all night long. At least they got over my habit of wearing headphones while I slept.
I’m now digging around again for the “old releases” download spree. The ones at the Spanish otakus’ sites *see Laruku no Reikai* still host the released singles / albums dating back to last February *one has some Dead End mp3s, so I had time to sample Morrie before he had a hiatus*, which sadly I did not pick up then at OngakuSuki, so I’m now downloading a lot.
I kinda noticed that most of the old bands preferred risque names, like “Malice Mizer”, “Psycho le Cemu”, “Die in Cries”, “Dir en Grey”, and the eternal “L’Arc~en~Ciel”. Probably there’s more. As risque as they look like.
I’m kinda aghast and partly ashamed of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s antics. I just hoped that the international media didn’t include her “statement” regarding NoKor’s nuclear pissoff in their reports.
I do not know what the hell went in our presi”dent” to make a statement regarding that bullshit. Why would we look at NoKor as if we are a supposed “target” while we face problems more grave than a detonated nuclear bomb.
And another thing: the United States of America making noises about NoKor’s nukes. Why would a nation that makes nukes fret over another nation that does the same? Hypocrites, that Bush and his henches. No better off than Kim Jong-Il’s hairstylist.
And it seems Friday the 13th moved up to Thursday this week.
First, I lost my school ID. The only fallback I have to enter the campus is my exam permit.
Second, my CD Burner failed midway while burning some songs I don’t want anymore on my HDs. Oh the bummers.
Now I have to buy a new CD burner. Most preferably I’ll set aside P2,000+ for that. BUt I think it’ll be not too far. Christmas is coming anyway. So I’ll be pinning hopes on buying either that or a DVD+RW burner. But the last time I saw one, it was about P3,000+.
The ID… well, I hope it only got stuck on my exam paper on COBOL-Lec or somebody from my class picked it up when I left. Or else I have to shell out another wad of cash for that.
October 12… kinda seemed like a washover day again. Bummers.
I kinda dabbled with my new blog layout. Initially I was inspired by Ouran (I wanted the “police” theme) but my idea kinda strayed. So I stuck with music-inspired (or band-inspired) layout, with an interchangeable banner. The main would be from Gazette. Probably sometime I would include some solos from Gazette or Alice Nine, or most like Miyavi. But if you’re a very hard-core otaku, the little curls I have here *see left & right of this blog side*, you would see that these came from Ouran.
Ho~ra~ Ciao.
