OK, so the first week of my “Hell in UST: Summer Six-thology” damnation is now done. *prances around the UST library like an idiot* XD
I still have five more weeks to fill up, so it’s like I still have to endure looking at my mother at the eye and ask for allowance for that said period of time.
In E-CS101, I was reunited with the great Ma’am Perla C., my former teacher at ICS4-Lecture last last semester.
It was like I’m back in good hands again, and it’s a pretty BIG sign for me. Pretty big, in the sense like my percentage of passing the summer class gone up by about 80%.
The IT102 subject was handled yet again by Mr. P. As usual, what I have to do is just rack up about 600+ of the 800 benchmark and I’m gonna sail through, more BETTER than the tragic case last semester.
But the Integral Calculus class… well… I’d sum it in one word: Loony.
Gail-chan again was another source for my list of “Saturday Night’s Live Event” all-nighter watching marathon.
As the case, my summer class goes only from Monday to Friday. With that, my happy hours was shortened to 36 (Saturday and half of Sunday) every week. So, I planned something to sober me up for a whole day – watching. With some food and Coke, preferably, locked in my room, going out for blogging or for personal necessities. *already in deep thought* Hum, hum.
So, I laid it out on my room this morning: WrestlemaniaXX, Negima!, Shuffle!, Gundam SEED Destiny, Survivor Series 2005…
I remembered “Kagen no Tsuki”, which was initially in my list for June. But, for some reason, I impulsively dialled 427-XXXX (would I tell?) and asked Jeffrey to look in his store records for “Kagen no Tsuki”. Jeffrey is the main man at the nearest Comic Alley I know, and he also has a private collection of anything JK&C (translate: Japanese, Korean, and Cantonese). He’s also slightly on the ecchi stuff, so I’m kinda wary if he will hand me another one of those “accidental” slips.
Later, before the CS101 class today, he handed me the said item I requested (only for a LOAN for two days but I have the intention to burn it). O-M-F-G. (“o)
It was a movie. So, cross it out of June list.
I’m still on plan for what’s the food. Initially it was Cheetos, but my sister devoured it for breakfast, so adios. Probably another weird mix of corn chips will do.
One of my friends from HS labelled me again as “weird” when he listened to my mp3 player’s contents last week. I gave him a random track, and it hit on W-ind’s “Winter Story”. He immediately handed me my headphones after about twenty seconds.
Most of my friends are slightly “nationalistic” on their preference on music, like they listen to state-approved themes like the ones from MYMP, Cueshe, Pupil, Parokya ni Edgar, Orange and Lemons, et cetera. I do not know why, but they go on gorging themselves to these bands like pious people dig on the Holy Bible.
As usual, my mp3 player is full of my preferred Japanese music, some anime, some pure J-Pop/Urban/Rock/HipHop/(go on, it’s quite long) and some OST music, which they do not understand just a wee bit.
Just like me only knowing “Wen” in my native Ilocano language, my friends only know “Arigato” and “Sayonara“. Other than that, all are just plain Greek to them.
He always ask me WHY do I listen to this “unintelligible” music. He even castigated my limited knowledge of Nihongo. Oh yes, it’s limited, but my Nihongo vocabulary is growing steadily, and I can somewhat understand most songs I hear.
I replied that music is a universal language. Even if your country urges everybody to strongly support homegrown music, nobody has the right to limit your musical taste. Your music preferences can be anywhere around the world waiting to reach your ear. So f–k that stereotypical s–t when you say I’m “unpatriotic” or such or even label me “weird”. It just happened that my ear now prefers anything Japanese. But I’m not biased on music either. I listen to anything that sounds good, not just because I’m Filipino that I should limit myself to OPM or English music.
So there. I ended the argument at that and we attended class. But, on a side note, I can’t exchange music for friends anymore. Especially cheatmates. Hehe.
While I’m typing this, I already surged past an hour of the usual allowed Internet time. Needs an extension. Hehe.
Checking my e-mail today was like rummaging again through unfamiliar and familiar trash. Seeing spams, spam, spam… *delete* *delete* *delete*
OK, found something from the 2CSA groups.
Have a good laugh
This story happened a few months ago along the Tagaytay Road.
There was a guy who got left behind by a pack of mountain bikers.
The group was large and he didnt bring a cellphone. He crashed his bike somewhere between Picnic Grove and DBP.
To make things worse, a storm came. So he walked.
This guy was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark
night in the middle of a storm. The night passed slowly and no cars
went by.The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few meters
ahead of him.Suddenly, just before the junction going to Manila, he saw a car
slowly looming, ghostlike, out of the gloom. It slowly crept toward
him and stopped. It was raining hard, wind blowing all around you,
what would you do?Like you would, he got into the car and closed the door, then
realized that there was nobody behind the wheel! The car slowly started moving again. The guy was terrified, too
scared to think of jumping out and running. The guy saw that the car
was slowly approaching a sharp curve. The guy started to pray, begging for his life; he was sure the ghost
car would go off the road and he would plunge to his death, when
just before the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned
the steering wheel, guiding the car safely around the bend.
Terrified, the guy watched the hand reappear every time they reached
a curve. Finally, the guy gathered his wits and leaped from the car and ran
to the nearest place where there were houses.Wet and in shock, he
went into a store and voice quivering, ordered two bottles of Red
Horse Beer, and told the people about his horrible, supernatural
experience. A silence enveloped everybody when they realized the guy
was apparently sane and not drunk.About half an hour later two guys walked into the same store.
(from a contributor)
One says to the other……….
“Yan! Yan yung tarantadong sumakay habang nagtutulak tayo” (Yo! That’s the bastard who boarded while we’re pushing the car!)
🙂
OK. My second class, IT102, is nearing its start, so I’ll end this entry here. I’ll probably be back either tomorrow or by Monday. Ciao!
XD
