Gomen ne to all my tagmates and co-bloggers. I was away since Dec. 21 on a trip downtown south in the provinces, and I retuned by 30. By then I missed some fun. 😦 I also saw Rikku’s (now Toshi) game of tag yesterday at 11PM. It’s fun to engage in too. But it’s sleeping time, since I have a class at 7, so I only replied to her this late today. :3
BTW, Irwin was right. RAW is coming to the Philippines! Yay yay yay!!!
I’m reserving some tickets right away. Can’t wait to see some slam action here.
Next blog entry or so, I’ll post a top 100 of the year songs for me. Old or new, doesn’t matter. What I liked this year, yeah. That’s it. Yay yay yay!! *screams loud* *whistles*
Definitely, Christmas here in our country is fun. Yeah. Fireworks, bang-bang noise, toothorns, but without the snow.
*switches BGM, plays Eraserheads’ “Styrosnow” *
It was fun with my family. We went to mass first before the festivities. Initially they all want to just stay at home, but I insisted. It’s kinda my tradition to attend it. So we went.
After, we had some good food as our midnight meal. Pity, but I only had spaghetti and some traditional “palabok” while my family feasted on the better ones. I do not care to eat heavy even if I pity myself over some pasta, care less if I want to disturb my sleep with occasional trips to the bathroom every 2 hours or so.
But December 25, 6AM, is something else.
It’s horrid, weird and foul-smelling. I’m taking about the residue of the fireworks. It was like Iraq after a bombing. The morning fog was mixed with the firecracker’s acrid smell of smoke, and it makes me want to curse heavily in French or German or whatever, but it is definitely not a good morning. How am I going to enjoy my morning coffee with this?
It was a long 7 day’s wait until 2006. Damn. I just wasted myself making my own Animax show, watching all – I mean all – my anime CDs until it was December 31. Like December 27, a 12-hour Fruits Basket marathon show, plus an FLCL run of about 3-4 hours. The extra time was for the meals, CRs, sleep, washing dishes, feeding the dogs, etc.
Like Christmas, it just repeated itself. It’s fun and enjoying to watch TV while the major TV channels are airing nonstop dance numbers and games to amuse viewers until 12 AM, 2006. Then the traditional countdown started in, and when the 00:00 came in, it was like BOOM (say BOOM 200 times) and like that, the 2005 calendar I had at my room went down in flames (my cousins took it out and used it as a launching pad for the aerial fireworks and baby rockets). We had a delicious meal, but I ate little, a generous helping of some macaroni salad and caesar’s salad, for the same reason everybody wants to sleep without an internal combustion interruption. 🙂
And, it’s 4 days until classes at the University of Santo Tomas started again, so it’s an anime marathon again until January 3 with Cheetos and Pringles.
It’s a wonder I don’t get fat even if I eat those fat-rich foods. The doctors said I have no internal thingies that suck away nutrients. I think it’s because of my morning coffee and my constant exercise habit. Except my sister. She’s reed-thin, doesn’t eat any vegetables unless it’s with a salad dressing and downed with Sprite.
Then the continuation of last blog’s entry here:
… We met at the nearest McDonald’s (I rather call it “McGo-Fat”) stand and waited for the complete number assembly. As expected, the host Aaron is the first to come. I came second. Damn, I thought. Vher John the promoter is still not present. He had the gall to come late. The order came in predictably. Wendell came in third, and Timothy came after him. Israel, as predicted, always come 1 hour after the talk time. Vher probably forgot that Israel is a true-blooded Filipino.
And still, the promoter is not present. So our group sprang him a dirty little trick. We boarded the shuttle to Aaron’s home, and we honed Vher to come directly to Aaron’s house instead of the rendezvous spot. Of course he was aghast.
Fifteen minutes later we reached Aaron’s house. As usual, but now with concrete gates. A surprising two minutes later Vher came in, gasping for air and sweating a lot. We thought he ran the entire six kilometres from Litex to Balara.
:# Ha ha ha!! Tado ka kasi, promotor ka pa naman. (You have the gall to be late.)
:* Kayo talaga, gago talaga kayo. Wala namang ganyanan. (What? Don’t do this again. You guys suck.)
:$ Kala namin tinakbo mo mula sa bahay mo. (We thought you ran the distance from your home to here.)
ALL: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! (Laughs)
:* Tangina ninyo. Wala namang ganyanan. (You SOBs, Don’t ever do that again.)
What can we do? It was the only way we can make him come pronto.
As the customs birthdays demand, we sang the “Happy Birthday” song. We wanted to sing him something else like the song about the Garbageman from PNE or some punk rock tune, but we saw his father at the back, so we narrowed the other song to something more acceptable like Auld Lang Syne or Hallelujah. (Actually, one song was all we could muster, since his mother called already for us to eat.)
The food was great. Some lasagna, tacos with beef, spaghetti, red wine, and the customary food for a birthday celebrant.
(I couldn’t discuss here what happened afterwards. Vher WILL go ballistic.)
My mp3 page is still in construction, so HAVer6 will still be there until the middle of January when I post my mp3 page.
Hyrokkin’s Anthology Version 8 will come by March. I liked what I created here, so It’ll take me some time to find a new theme that I can rehash myself. *thinks about School Rumble*
As usual, links. Tastes better.
- http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/200601… – Yeah, Crazy Frog is a damn sure irritation for me. Hearing that on a cellphone makes me wanna curse its holder for being not discreet.
- http://www.lowellsun.com/local/ci_3367661 – A porn star beats Jesus Christ in sales of action figures and other merchandise… wait a minute. What again? Oh, OK. Top sellers are Johnny Cash and Napoleon Dynamite. Those are a sidenote.
OK, that’s it for now. Next blog entry there will be more. And some new changes in this page too, by next day or so. Ciao!
(How do you say goodbye in French?)
