BGM: [Ai (Chuuseishin)] OST Excel Saga

We already had our PE Finals today. YES, Irwin, it’s on Tae-Bo. The results sucked up a lot.

Only a 2.0 score.

Whew. I expected more than that. Oh well, what the heck. We practiced lots just to get a P. Diddy score.

While I was in a 5-day hiatus, I watched some wacky anime series that made me say “p**angina yan” a lot of damn times.

Full Metal Panic [Fumoffu]

War, you think? No…just a war-torn kid who wants to live a normal life… with grenades and land mines to go with it.

Well, this thing over here gets a good 4 out of 5 for me. This anime is a whack in the head with a paper fan, if you’re going to ask me.

It’s about a Sousuke Sagara guy (he was raised in wars in Bosnia and Iraq, so he’s a war freak), a sargeant who is very ignorant of a normal life in Japan. His foster father let him to be a normal kid, enrolling him in a VERY tolerant school. He blows up his lockers if there’s a speck of fingerprint in it, puts land mines in safe roads, installs sarin gas in protected areas, and is very militaristic in his everyday talking and social life. To him, logic rules.

His very close friend is a paperfan-whacking wild girl named Chidori who has the heart for him (WOHOO!), and is unexpectedly the deep lover of Sousuke, and shows it with a paper fan.

Cool. I watched Season 2 and it’s just 15 episodes with 2 unseen-before specials.

TIP: Watch the episode where Sousuke brainwashed (I mean he put these guys in a military training camp) a group of clumsy girlish rugby players with military hardships and four-letter words into a powerhouse team of killers. This is hilarious, really.

Quack Experimental Anime [Excel Saga]

This piece of Koshi Rikdo’s gets a nice 4.5 out of 5 for me.

Excel Saga got a whole pack of idiots directing it, so it turns out to be a bigger whack in the head with a Giga Paper Fan.

The three main characters are Lord Ilpalazzo, Excel, Menchi and Hyatt. Lord Ilpalazzo is the big boss of ACROSS, an idealistic organization hell-bent on making an ideal society. He looks like Zagato in the Rayearth series. Excel is the big-mouthed, opinion-based, dog-eating, big-screaming girl who has no idea of her history. She’s in a big love-a-doo with Lord Ilpalazzo, but her love is returned with a symbolic traphole full of sharks and koalas (I wonder how she survives). Menchi is a dog and an emergency food supply to Excel. Hyatt is the girl which Ilpalazzo likes, but she dies constantly (she just dies on the spot and goes to life again instantly) and throws up excessive amounts of blood.

Just watch it, OK? The directors are a bunch of idiots.

Actually, that’s Excel (left) and Hyatt (right). Beautiful, right?
Menchi, the “emergency food supply” of Excel
Guess what episode is this, freaks.
She LOVES to imagine eating Menchi when she’s too hungry.

TIP: Watch the episode where Rikdo approved an animal show featuring Menchi, also the 3rd episode. It’s way too cool.

Nice things do happen. Now, here, it’s a nice serving of links to satisfy your craving for satisfaction (REDUNDANT!!)…just click and see.
